OUR HISTORY

2013

We find ourselves doing extensive research with our clients, to identify improvement opportunities and asses priorities. We are also studying leading technology and new resources available to develop web and mobile applications that will allow us, and our clients, to monitor in real-time the job performance of the cleaning and maintenance personnel as well as their supervisors.

Moreover, we are currently developing an online platform that will allow our clients to securely login to our website to access a full view of the actual status of their propriety. They will be able to access and download reports of weekly inspections, including current and potential problems that have been identified, even if these are not covered by our contracted services. Additionally, we will be able to complete online performance evaluations of our personnel and receive immediate feedback from our clients, allowing us to effectively identify which employees require further training to fully develop their service skills.

To finalize the first phase of our technological development, we will implement a system that we have called "K&D Service 360" which will allow our clients to contact us from any place and at any time, to get answers or ask for support.

2012

Although the country continues to experience a tough economic climate, K&D Service Group has been able to maintain an exponential growth, continually evolving to deliver ever more value to its clients. At this point, we asked ourselves once again: how can we further increase the overall value that we offer our clients?

In our research, we discovered how the industry finds itself to be mostly stagnant, not taking advantage of technological advances that are now commonly seen in other industries, we also noticed how processes and methodologies have remained the same for the past decades. Therefore, our focus has now shifted into taking actions to implement new technologies and to improve our internal processes in order to accomplish 3 main goals: maintaining and consolidating long-term relationships with our current clients, attracting and establishing new relationships with our prospective clients, and pushing the industry up to the next level of service quality.

2009

K&D Cleaning & Maintenance Services Inc. became K&D Service Group. We established strategic alliances in order to further compliment our portfolio of solutions in plumbing, electricity, carpentry, repairs and remodeling.This also allowed us to offer our services at a larger commercial and residential scale.

The company was restructured strategically in 2 business units: Commercial: Building Maintenance (focused on cleaning and maintenance services for commercial buildings) and Residential: Home Improvements (focused on maintenance, repair and remodeling services for residential homes). Each division was given unique goals, as well as the specialized teams and resources required to accomplish them.

2007

As the nation faced a tough economic crisis, we found ourselves in the need to evolve in order to survive in the market; after carefully studying our opportunities, we decided that we where ready to extend our maintenance services for condominiums to further service other industries.

We began working in Foreclosure Cleanup and REO Property Preservation projects and then evolved to offer customized services for other types of public and commercial properties, including: Government Buildings, Clinics, Schools and Retail Stores. With this new line of services, we were able to increase the income and profitability of the company in a 37% in only a year.

2005

We complemented our portfolio of maintenance services in an effort to resolve the problems being faced by our clients, they required on-demand repairs and customized solutions aligned with their, ever reduced, budgets.

Over time, we discovered opportunities to improve the industry. We learned about the importance of using quality products and improving procedures to make every job better and easier, we acquired new machinery to improve the health and life quality of our employees, we focused on teaching them the importance of doing things right and mindfully but, most importantly, we took great care to promote teamwork and reinforce our family culture.

2003

We officially founded our first family business with the name of K&D Cleaning and Maintenance Services, Inc.The company was created with a clear and definite purpose: to provide a personalized service with a high quality standard and a fixation on the little details that no other company had the organizational resources to take into account, due to the absolute lack of work and personnel supervision.

Acknowledging that our success was essentially due to excellent customer care and our high quality service, we made sure to build our company over solid pillars, strongly supported by the values and the culture that makes up our family business.

1998

After gaining the necessary experience, I (David Baez) was presented with the opportunity to work as Maintenance Support for the property of Environ Condominiums II, located in Lauderhill Florida, where I was rapidly promoted to Chief Maintenance Manager of this 8 building property. I additionally worked nights and weekends on my second job in construction, and carried out housekeeping and repairs jobs for the condo residents.

On the other hand, Kathy worked independently offering maid services, gaining experience in the areas of housekeeping and customer service. Her clients often recommended her because of the quality service and the detailing on every job; as a result, she gained over 40 loyal clients that she managed to keep satisfied for over 12 years.

1995

Kathy and I, David Baez, emigrated to the United States in order to pursue the so called "American Dream", leaving behind family and loved ones, we established our new home in the city of Sunrise, Florida.

As most immigrants, upon arriving to the United States, we were unable to continue our professional trajectories in International Commerce and Business Administration, regardless of our many years worth of experience. This is why we began working on diverse jobs in the areas of building construction, cleaning and maintenance services.
